Mr. McKim has been in practice since 1995 and has served as a partner at Wyland & Tadros LLP since joining the firm in 2011. He started his legal career as a judicial law clerk and then worked 16 years in workers’ compensation defense and appellate practice for a large south Florida firm. Mr. McKim’s practice at Wyland and Tadros LLP focuses on workers’ compensation defense and appellate litigation.
Mr. McKim is certified by the state of Florida as an instructor of continuing education courses and he has personally created courses, used in Florida’s Continuing Legal Education curriculum. Some of the courses he has instructed include Major Contributing Causation in Workers Compensation, Contribution and Apportionment theory in Workers’ Compensation, Family and Medical Leave Act, Workers’ Compensation Fraud, Deposition and Recorded Statement Skills and Strategies, Adjuster Ethics, Ethics in Claim Negotiation, and Case Law Developments.
Mr. McKim is an active member of the Florida Bar Association, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce. He has litigated multiple cases before the Florida District Courts of Appeal, which have heralded significant developments in Florida’s workers’ compensation and civil law. He is admitted to practice in the District and Circuit Courts of Florida and has litigated before the Florida Supreme Court.
Mr. McKim is a 1989 graduate of Western Michigan University and a 1995 graduate (cum laude) of the University Of Toledo School of Law where he served as an editor for and published author in, The Toledo Law Review.
